The FCC has provided guidelines for the implementation of additional switches to expand LNP capability. Switches that are not LNP capable, may be requested through a Bona Fide Request (BFR). A few more things you should know about Bona Fide Requests (BFRs):
- Any certified service provider with an approved Interconnection Agreement can submit a BFR for LNP capability in additional switches.
- The request must include the 11 digit Common Language Location Identifier (CLLI) code of each CenturyLink switch being requested to become LNP-capable.
- The BFR will be acknowledged within 10 business days and deployment dates will be communicated no later than 45 calendar days from receipt of the request.
All CenturyLink switches that are either deployed, scheduled, or not scheduled for LNP capability are posted on the network disclosure web site:

BFRs must be submitted to your Service Manager, and a copy should also be sent to your CenturyLink Sales Executive.
