Overview
CenturyLink Corporation's Type 2S Interconnection is used with CenturyLink Signaling Transfer Point (STP) to provide you with access to the Common Channel Signaling (CCS) network.
Our Type 2S Interconnection service eliminates the need for you to go to a third party provider for access to CenturyLink STPs. CenturyLink has been providing state-of-the-art telecommunications network technology for years. And CenturyLink Account Management team provides hands-on support to meet your needs.
Using CenturyLink Type 2S Interconnection, you may:

Product Details
CenturyLink Type 2S Interconnection interface is a physical CCS/SS7 signaling link connection between the CenturyLink network and your network.
The Type S interface is used between your network and CenturyLink to exchange CCS/SS7 Integrated Services Digital Network User Part (ISDNUP) and CCS/SS7 Transactional Capabilities Application Part (TCAP) messages. These messages support applications to be provided between you and CenturyLink. The physical interconnections are based on established Telcordia standards.
The Type S interface is a physical interconnection and does not by itself include any applications. Defining what applications are supported on a Type S interface are determined between you and CenturyLink.
No trunk connections are included in or with the Type S interface. With regard to the set up and release of a trunk connection, the Type S interface must be used in conjunction with the Type 2A or 2B interconnection with CCS/SS7 interface.
