Qwest will be retiring the existing IMA EDI interface on October 27, 2007. As an alternative option for submitting electronic Local Service Requests, Qwest is introducing a new XML application to application interface. Qwest is providing a window of time (greater than 12 months) from the deployment of the IMA XML interface until the retirement of IMA EDI to allow adequate time for IMA EDI CLECs to migrate to the XML interface. During December of 2005, Qwest introduced SCR121305-01, Implement XML Interface for IMA EDI that will be implemented in Production with the IMA 20.0 release scheduled to deploy on October 16, 2006. The new IMA XML interface will simplify versioning and reduce development costs.
With the retirement of IMA EDI, remaining references to IMA EDI will be removed from the Qwest Operations Support System (OSS) Release Calendar. Other related Wholesale web documentation will be updated following the appropriate CMP notification process.
Expected Deliverables/Proposed Implementation Date (if applicable): Retirement of IMA EDI will occur more than two hundred and seventy (270) days after the submission this SCR. Qwest will provide a two hundred and seventy (270) day Initial Retirement notification announcing the retirement of IMA EDI, a two hundred twenty eight (228) day Final Retirement Notification including responses to CLEC comments, and a thirty (30) day confirmation systems notification of the retirement announcing IMA EDI’s discontinued availability.
