Eschelon requests a systems change to provide IMA edits for 7-10 digits for Customer Forwarding Number (CFN) floats for features on Centrex lines. IMA-GUI currently allows CLECs to use 10 digits, and the SOP edits to the correct number. But, for Centrex products, no edit occurs, and the CLEC provisioner must enter either 7 or 10 digits, as appropriate. Qwest should allow CLECs to use 10 digits on all orders, with Qwest’s system should edit the order if 7 is appropriate for Centrex products, as it does now for 1FB. Qwest’s centers have electronic, up-to-date access to this information and, therefore, CLECs should also have such access.

CLEC Expectation: Eschelon advised that a manual process has been implemented since this CR was submitted. Eschelon is happy with the manual process and no longer needs this CR. Eschelon requested that this CR remain open until discussed at the December CMP meeting. Email from Kathy Stichter received 11-16: In reference to the above CR. If no other CLEC wants this and/or any other CLEC does not want this, Eschelon will agree to close this CR at the December CMP meeting because the manual process Qwest implemented is working for Eschelon. CR Description: Eschelon requests a systems change to provide IMA edits for 7-10 digits for Customer Forwarding Number (CFN) floats for features on Centrex lines. IMA-GUI currently allows CLECs to use 10 digits, and the SOP edits to the correct number. But, for Centrex products, no edit occurs, and the CLEC provisioner must enter either 7 or 10 digits, as appropriate. Qwest should allow CLECs to use 10 digits on all orders, with Qwest’s system should edit the order if 7 is appropriate for Centrex products, as it does now for 1FB. Qwest’s centers have electronic, up-to-date access to this information and, therefore, CLECs should also have such access. Qwest Response: This request was on the candidate vote list for the 10.0 Release. Eschelon has since advised that they are no longer in need of this CR due to an edit that was installed in the 7.01 Release and the establishment of a manual process that is working for Eschelon. Eschelon is in agreement to close this CR at the December CMP meeting if there are no other CLECs interested in this request. Currently, there is no sponsor for this CR.
