ASR Practice: 015

Edit Description: Valid Qwest entries will only include the recommended abbreviations contained in the United States Postal Service Publication 28, Postal Addressing Standards Secondary Unit Designators section.

ASRs with invalid entries will be rejected.

The QORA application will be updated to include up-front edits for the following fields of the ASR. If the ASR entries do not pass the validations described, the ASR will be rejected.

Field: ACTL

ASR Practice: 001

Edit Description:

When ACTL is a required field, per industry guidelines, the entry must be a valid 11-character CLLI code.

"New" is also an accepted entry in this field.

Edit Description:

This field is required when the value in the S25 field = A or B

Edit Description:

This field is required when the REQTYP = S, ACT is not D and the 10th character of the ACTL entry = G or J and the CFA entry is blank.

Field: MUXLOC

Edit Description:

This field is required when the CFA field is populated and the facility type for the entry in the CFA field does not begin with "OC".

This field is optional when the CFA field contains a facility type of "OC".

This field is prohibited when CFA and SCFA fields are blank and CCEA is populated.

This field is prohibited when CFA and SCFA is blank and SCCEA is populated.

Field: MUXLOC

Edit Description:

When MUXLOC is populated, the entry must be an 8-alpha-numeric character entry representing a valid CLLI code.

If CFA field contains a valid CFA entry, the MUXLOC entry will be compared to the CFA entry and must match the first 8-characters of the Qwest-owned CLLI contained in the CFA.

If CFA field is blank and SCFA is populated, the MUXLOC entry will be compared with the SCFA entry and must match the first 8-characters of the Qwest-owned CLLI contained in the SCFA.

When CFA entry = "New", the MUXLOC field will not be validated.

This field is required when REQTYP = M or L, and the 4th position of the NC1 field = G.

Edit Description:

When the REQTYP = A, S or E and the QTY field on the ASR form is greater than "1", the first position of the AFO field entry must be "Y".

Expected Deliverable:

Upgrade QORA Application to provide upfront editing and validation of ASR entries. Need implemented with the QORA 5.0 Upgrade targeted for implementation on October 10, 2005.

September 21, 2005 Systems CMP Meeting Discussion: This CR will deploy on 10/10/05.

-- July 20, 2005 Systems CMP Meeting Discussion: Cindy Kalakis-Qwest stated that this CR has been revised to add an edit that will be on the Fields: LD1, LD2, and LD3. Cindy said that this edit will ensure that only valid abbreviations per the postal standards are accepted or the ASR will be rejected. Jill Martain-Qwest stated that the LOE for this CR is 5200 to 7500 hours.

-- June 15, 2005 Systems CMP Meeting Discussion: Cindy Kalakis-Qwest presented the CR and stated that this CR is for up-front edits. Cindy stated that this CR is targeted for October 10, 2005, in conjunction with the ASOG 31 changes. Cindy stated that the impacted fields are contained in the CR and include ACTL, ER, CFA, CCEA, MUXLOX, and AFO. Cindy again noted that this CR would be implemented on October 10th. Cindy asked if there were any questions. There were no questions brought forward. This CR moves to Development status.

Review Requested (Description of) Change: Peggy Esquibel Reed-Qwest reviewed the CR Title and Description and asked if there was additional information to be shared. Cindy Kalakis-Qwest confirmed that this CR is for up-front edits for some of the fields on the ASR. Cindy noted that ASRs would be rejected if the ASR did not pass the specified validations in the CRs description. Cindy also stated that she would like this CR targeted for deployment on October 10, 2005, in conjunction with the ASOG 31 QORA Upgrade.

Confirmed Impacted Products: Peggy Esquibel Reed-Qwest confirmed that this effort impacted UDIT, EUDIT, CCSAC, LIS Trunks, UDF, and E911 PS/ALI.

Establish Action Plan & Resolution Time Frame: Peggy Esquibel Reed-Qwest stated that this CR is due for presentation at the June 15th CMP Meeting.

RE: SCR060105-04 New QORA Edits

Qwest has reviewed the information submitted as part of Change Request (SCR060105-04). Based upon the scope of this CR as agreed to in the Clarification Meeting (held June 7, 2005) Qwest is able to provide an estimated Level of Effort (LOE) of 5200 to 6500 hours for this QORA Change Request.

This Change Request will be implemented on October 10, 2005.
