Project Meetings

The Clarification call was held on 5/30/02 at 8:30 a.m. (MT) The attendees were: Eric Hill - Nortwest Microwave, Inc. Dan Busetti - Qwest Justin Sewell - Qwest Iris Santiago - Qwest Mark Routh - Qwest

Mark opened the meeting and asked all the participants to introduce themselves. He discussed the purpose of the call. Mark reviewed the request. Mark confirmed the the area impacted is CEMR and that the product impacted is UNE. Mark confirmed that the personnel who were on the call were the correct individuals for this request. Eric indicated that he would like the ability to view the facilities for an OC24 just as he can for the others, like DS3. He indicated that he can see all 24 DS0 customers. He added that if a customer orders a CFA on an OC24, he has to submit the order to find out if there is available capacity. He may get a confirmation back for the CFA or an indicator that it is already in use. He indicated that he can't look at the entire OC24 to see his customer's activity. He also mentioned that this would be useful for accounting purposes as well. Dan asked if these would always be incremented by 12. Eric replied that he didn't know and that it didn't really matter to him what increments it was displayed in, as long as he could view the entire facility. He said "What ever is easiest for Qwest." Iris asked if OC24 was displayed in the same manner as OC12. Eric said that it was, and he could provide Mark with examples that Mark will forward to Iris and Justin. Iris asked if Eric needed to see an entire OC192 at this time. Eric indicated that they didn't have that requirement at this time but said that it is definitely a possibility. He indicated that he was surprised that Qwest hadn't gotten this type of request from other IXCs, CLECs, or LECs before now. Iris asked Eric when they needed this. Eric indicated that he wasn't in any dire straight but that he would like it as soon as possible so that he could be more efficient in his function. It was pointed out that this change may have an impact on the TIRKS system. Mark indicated that this would be presented in the June monthly Systems CMP meeting. Dan will begin to investigate what is needed to complete this change.

There were no other questions or comments and the call was ended.

Message from Eric Hill on 5/30/02:

What I was hoping everyone could gather from Our Voice Conference this morning was that we (NMI) are currently limited to view the "Facility Descriptions" for the following entries: T1, T1F, T1U, T1UF, T1Z, T1ZF, T1ZT, T3, T3X, T3Z, T3U, T4X, OC03, OC12, OC48

Now in circumstances such as NMI presence in the Seattle, Westin Building where we have expanded from an OC-12 to a OC-24 the option of pulling up the information is unavailable. It is in actuality supported by an even larger OC-48 facility that we pay to utilize the equivalent of an OC-24, never the less is still generates an "error message" at either level. So I'm hoping everyone can see my point? If and when we should need more capacity and ask Qwest to activate another OC-12? See what I'm getting at?

Currently Qwest has assigned the following ACTL Code: P101 OC24 STTLWAWBWAN STTMWAAGWAA This ACTL is in fact stored in the "Previous Queries" pull down menu on the Search and Verify CFA screen as if it acknowledges the fact that it is a valid entry. However, that is not the case as I'm sure by now everyone is aware. I'm providing an attachment from the actual CFA Verification Screen so that everyone can see the entry from my perspective. I hope the .bmp format is acceptable?

The following is an example of the DS-3 ACTL / ECCKT Code assignments to those supported by the facilities of which we are speaking, and I would like to add that I am able to pull them up on an individual case basis. If this is any way beneficial? These codes I'm providing below do in fact increment 1X01-1X24 although I will keep it short for reasons I'm sure every one can understand. 1X01 T3U STTLWAWBWAN STTLWAAGWAA 1X02 T3U STTLWAWBWAN STTLWAAGWAA 1X03 T3U STTLWAWBWAN STTLWAAGWAA

Please feel free to call me if this is in any way confusing to anyone and I would be glad to elaborate. Thank you, Eric Hill

Memo from Eric Hill on 7/12/02

Hi Mark,

Well it would be wonderful to look at it all at once, but if it has to be this way? I've already told the people in my department about it and have used it to compare. One of the first things Dan mentioned yesterday was the fact that he had randomly looked at port 13 and that supports Northwest Microwave's DS-3 for DS-1 traffic. At that point he mentioned it was $pare, and I was reluctant to believe it but he was correct. That traffic had been swung over on to Our Fiber Network, and Our Own Records had not been modified. I do rely on the site heavily for cross reference. It will work the way it is, however it's just a matter of convenience to view it all at once. I'll let your people make the call? This is acceptable for now.

DRAFT RESPONSE

RE: SCR052802-01 (CEMR Pre-Validation)

Qwest has reviewed the information submitted as part of Change Request SCR052802-01. Based upon the scope of this CR as agreed to in the Clarification Meeting (held May 30, 2002) Qwest is able to provide an estimated Level of Effort (LOE) of 200 to 750 hours for this CEMR Change Request.

At the next Monthly Systems CMP Meeting, CMP participants will be given the opportunity to comment on this Change Request and provide additional clarifications. Any clarifications and/or modifications identified at that time will be incorporated into Qwest’s further evaluation of this Change Request. Upon obtaining consensus from CMP participants as to the appropriate direction for Qwest to take on this Change Request, Qwest will review release schedules and development timetables in an effort to evaluate options for potential scheduling of Change Request SCR052802-01.

Sincerely, Jeff Thompson Qwest, Information Technologies
