Project Meetings |
10/18/17 System CMP Meeting Mark Coyne – CenturyLink said the EASE ASR Release 3.0 implementation occurred on September 18, 2017. The CR has been in CLEC Test since then and we would like to move this CR to a COMPLETED status. Mark asked if there were any objections. There were none. 9/20/17 System CMP Meeting Mark Coyne – CenturyLink said the EASE ASR Release 3.0 implementation occurred with an effective date of September 18, 2017 and the CR is now in CLEC Test. Mark said as discussed last month, we sent a Revised Final Technical Specifications notification and updated the CR Description with additional Custom Business Rules. Customer Testing was available August 19, 2017. Both the initial and final EASE GUI release notifications were distributed on the required dates with no CLEC comments received. Mark said we would talk about moving this CR to a COMPLETED status in October. He asked if there were other questions. There were none. 8/16/17 System CMP Meeting Mark Coyne – CenturyLink said the Final Technical Specifications were distributed on August 4, 2017. No CLEC comments were received. Customer testing will be available August 19, 2017. The Draft EASE GUI Release Notice will be issued August 21, 2017 with the comment cycle ending August 24, 2017. The Final EASE GUI Release Notification will be issued August 28, 2017 associated with the Release Production Date of September 18, 2017. Mark said we would like to discuss the possibility of distributing a Revised Final Notification for this release for two additional Custom Business Rule updates. He reviewed the two additions as listed in the package: • Additional edit to confirm that the TCIC/RECCKT combination matches. This impacts all switched orders (including LIS). This additional rule will save manual validation in the Centers. • Additional edit to prevent a CFA Change on R Orders Mark said we would like to issue the Revised Final notice no later than Friday, August 18, 2017 which would still provide a 30 day lead time for customers prior to the September release date. Kim Isaacs – Allstream said she has concerns about this since she has already sent her company communication for the September major release. Kim said she assumes the frequent rule changes are to gain efficiency since the system consolidation but it makes it difficult when the release is in flux. Mark Coyne – CenturyLink said we are still trying to gain Center efficiencies from the system consolidation but he thinks some of the related changes are starting to slow down. Mark said we did add a placeholder for a Point release for October. These two edits that CenturyLink would like to include in the release will benefit not only CenturyLink but the customer and we would like to get them in soon. Mark said we could hold off and include these two edits in the October Point release but the 30 day notification lead time would be the same. Kim Isaacs – Allstream said she would like the special circumstances noted since she feels these did not follow CMP. Kim said she does not want to be in this mode long term. Mark Coyne – CenturyLink said we will capture her concern in the meeting minutes. He said he thinks the changes will slow down and we will discuss them as necessary in CMP. Kim Isaacs – Allstream asked if the rule changes could be added as a late adder CR. Susan Lorence – CenturyLink said for these types of Business Rules changes that the SME team does not think are customer code impacting, we would not have issued a CR. That was the purpose of the CR we just closed: CR SCR030117-1 Customer notification of updates to EASE Business Rules. Susan said we could include them on an EASE Major Release CR. Kim Isaacs – Allstream asked if the changes have been added to the EASE Release 3.0 CR yet. Susan Lorence – CenturyLink said we wanted to discuss the rule changes first but we can add them to the CR if we get agreement. Susan asked if that solved Kim’s concern. Kim Isaacs – Allstream said she thought so. Kim said the approach cannot be one sided though. If a CLEC requests a late breaking change and CenturyLink can fit it into a release, the same approach should be available. Susan Lorence – CenturyLink said that would be true if the CLEC change could be accomplished as a business rule change. Kim Isaacs – Allstream asked if there were back end system changes and testing. Mark Coyne – CenturyLink said we will check with the SMEs and we will include the information in the meeting minutes. AUGUST 23, 2017 UPDATE: Per the SME team, the IT changes for these business rule updates have been tested. Susan Lorence – CenturyLink said these changes have been in progress in IT for awhile and the SME team just relayed they were ready and tested. That was why we are bringing them to CMP for discussion. Kim Isaacs – Allstream said she is fine though she has some reservations. Kim requested CenturyLink note that this approach is due to the unique times associated with the consolidation. Mark Coyne – CenturyLink said if other CLECs want to comment, they can speak now or send their comments into the CMP mailbox. Mark asked if there were other questions or concerns. There were none. 7/19/17 System CMP Meeting Mark Coyne – CenturyLink said a revision was presented for this CR in June. The Draft Technical Specifications were distributed on July 7, 2017. Mark relayed other key dates associated with this CR which include: the Customer Walkthrough which was held on July 17, 2017, the Customer Comment Cycle end date of July 25, 2017, the date for the Final technical specifications which is August 4, 2017, and that EASE Testing for this release will be available on August 19. He said the effective date for this release is September 18, 2017. Mark said there was a question that came up on the walkthrough on July 17, 2017 whether there will be any updates to the technical specifications. Mark said the CenturyLink SME response was that there are no planned changes. He said if there were to be any changes, they would be included with the Final Technical specifications on August 4, 2017. Mark asked if there were any questions. There were none. 6/21/17 System CMP Meeting Mark Coyne – CenturyLink stated that this CR, associated with the ASOG 55 industry release, was presented by Letty Walker last month. Letty submitted a revision to the CR add a custom edit: The PON cannot be duplicated within a 2 year timeframe within the ESP group established for the customer. The Draft Technical Specifications will be distributed July 7, 2017. The Customer Walkthrough has tentatively been scheduled for July 17, 2017. The Comment Cycle ends July 25, 2017. Final Tech Specs will be available on August 4, 2017, testing is available on August 19, 2017, and the production date is scheduled for September 18, 2017. 5/17/17 System CMP Meeting Letty Walker – CenturyLink presented the new CenturyLink Industry Guideline CR for the EASE system. Letty said the changes are associated with ATIS –OBF ASOG 55 and have a planned effective date of September 18, 2017. Letty then reviewed the ATIS Issue numbers included in the ASOG release as listed in the Description of the CR. She said there will be some customer walk-ons as the release is closer. Kim Isaacs – Electric Lightwave asked if the customer changes will be part of the CR. Letty Walker – CenturyLink said they will be presented with the walkthrough. Susan Lorence – CenturyLink said the CR Description will also be updated to capture those changes similar to what we have done in the past. Mark Coyne – CenturyLink said we should know those by the June meeting. Letty Walker – CenturyLink said that should be the case. Mark Coyne – CenturyLink asked if there were any other questions. There were none.
