Description Of Change |
AT&T is requesting a batch interface with Qwest that would allow AT&T to send T3 cable identification and receive a response from Qwest identifying the status of each of the 28 channels in each of the T3 cables. AT&T would send a text file where the input fields are Facility Designation, Facility Type, Location A CLLI and Location Z CLLI's for each T3 cable in a particular city. These imput fields would be delimited by '|' ("pipe"). The file name would be 'att_qwest_
OUTPUT FILES (Normal) Qwest would return a (normal) text output file where the fields are the same as the four on the input file plus the fields per each of the 28 channels of each of the T3 cable: Channel Number, Current Status, Circuit ID, Pending Activity and Due Date. Some of these fields are conditional and further information will be provided. If there is an error for a given T3 cable, the first four fields will be populated and their literal "Error" will be placed in the Current Status field. In addition, an error file will be created. The output file name will be 'qwest__att_

Project Meetings |
2/20/02 - Clarification was attended by : Mark Routh and Dan Busetti from Qwest and Donna Osborne-Miller, Bill Micou, Andy Shoneman, and David Blake from AT&T. Bill recounted the call with Jeff Thompson and Tim Bessey in which Jeff pointed out the fact that the IMA system would not be able to provide the required information for T3 cables. David asked how the file would be sent back and forth. Dan indicated that it would come in as a Pipe delimited text file with an EOF maker at the end. Qwest would return the information in the same format. Each input record will have a file name which contains the name of the city that the request is for. Each record would have 4 fields: Facility Designation, Facility Type, Location A CLLI and Location Z CLLI's for each T3 cable in a particular city (as described in the Description of Change field herein). Qwest will return the Channel Number, Current Status, Circuit ID, Pending Activity and Due Date for each of the 28 channels on each T3 cable. In the event that a match is not found in the query, an error file would need to be produced which contained the original 4 pieces of input information for each record that was't matched. That file would be returned to AT&T along with the matched results. Annelyn Afficial had sent a screen shot of the CEMR output and AT&T confirmed that it had all of the information needed. However, the CEMR system is manual process and AT&T would like Qwest to develop a mechanized solution in order to process a large volume of T3 requests at once. There were three unanswered questions that AT&T will provide answers to: 1) What is the turnaround time required for these files? 2) What is the expected volume of records on each file? 3) Is this going to be run one time for each city or will this be an ongoing process even after the cleanup is completed?

CenturyLink Response |
2/21/02 -This will be processed as a batch process. The details of this work will be discussed in the March 21, 2002 CMP meeting. 3/13/02 - Qwest will accomplish this by using the MYNAH scripting capability. MYNAH is a Qwest generated scripting program that will be use to extract the data from a backend OSS. This data will be formated in a delimited file per AT&T's requirements.
