QWEST AND FSN ARIZONA CREATE WINNING PROGRAM FOR LOCAL ORGANIZATION

Friendly House Wins Every Time the D-backs Win

PHOENIX, May 19, 2008 — CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced their “Share the Win” program in partnership with FSN Arizona.  CenturyLink will donate $100, up to $10,000, to the Friendly House in Phoenix for every Arizona Diamondbacks win. The Share the Win program began with the first D-backs win on March 31 against the Cincinnati Reds. The donation will help fund Friendly Houses’ education programs.

“Qwest’s support of Friendly House shows both a strong commitment to strengthening families, and an investment in our children’s education,” said Luis Ibarra, CEO of Friendly House. “It’s a ’Grand Slam’ for the more than 40,000 families, youth and children we serve annually.”

“We are proud to work with two great community-minded organizations like the D-backs and FSN Arizona,” said Pat Quinn, CenturyLink president-Arizona. “Qwest’s Arizona employees strive for the same type of winning success that the team has demonstrated. We are also proud to help facilitate the great work consistently done by everyone at Friendly House.”

CenturyLink previously announced its agreement with Arizona Diamondbacks’ player Tony Peña, who will serve as a spokesperson for CenturyLink as part of ongoing efforts to showcase Qwest’s long-standing commitment to the Hispanic community.

CenturyLink maintains a separate sponsorship agreement with the Arizona Diamondbacks that includes in-game promotions and the CenturyLink High-Speed Pitch Meter at Chase Field. CenturyLink is also the title sponsor of FSN Arizona’s “CenturyLink Diamondbacks Live” post-game show, which is seen after the network’s Arizona Diamondbacks telecasts.

“FSN Arizona is extremely fortunate to have a partner like CenturyLink,” said Mike Connelly, FSN Arizona senior vice president & general manager. “We both share a common goal of improving the quality of life in our community, and programs such as this one with Friendly House helps us achieve this objective.”
